Are you tuning in? | Rumours that Radiohead may return  to the stage in 2025

A close source to the group has confirmed that the band will run a  series of live performances in the autumn.  

Exciting news lies on the horizon for fans of the legendary Radiohead, with many theories that the band will return to stages across Europe in 2025.  

Radiohead last released their ninth studio album ‘A Moon Shaped  Pool’ in 2016, which was followed by a two-year world tour between 2016-18, meaning that if the rumours are true, the band  would have taken a nine-year hiatus.  Despite Radiohead taking a break, members Thom Yorke and  Jonny Greenwood have had success with their other project, The  Smile, which released their album ‘Cutouts’ in October 2024. 

The rumours originally broke out across the internet in September  of last year, after the band’s bassist Colin Greenwood announced  that they had been rehearsing.  

He told RadioX: “We’re all coming back around that point now of thinking, right,  we’ve had a break – this is it. This feels like something to dive back  into and really explore and see what other directions it can take us  in.” 

The rumours have once again re-emerged as the band released a  new version of ‘The Bends’, that features B-sides and remixes for  the albums 30th anniversary. There are also fan theories that the band will be returning to  Glastonbury to play a surprise performance, their last show there  was in 2017, and have already played the festival five times.  

Resident Advisor has reported that four tickets for rumoured  upcoming shows have been donated in Los Angeles to a fire relief  auction, and the highest bidder can select their preferred city and  date. The band have also formed a new business as a limited liability partnership earlier this week, a new legal entity, which suggests that the band may be planning something notable in the near future.
