Mini Music Review

Gregory Brown Band

Fade Away

This track very is seldom sweet, it is an all-round wholesome, and nostalgic. The melody on the piano meshes with the guitar and gives off an “unplugged” feel. The strumming of the guitar and the clapping provide a sense of rhythm and togetherness for the song which helps makes the song. The meaning behind the song sounds really deep and from the heart, an interesting view of perspective.

A few things I think could be better is the quality of the production, the way each object is mixed together is kinda wonky and slightly bland. I also think it could use a little more movement, including more percussive elements would help this track a lot with how it sounds overall.

It gives me this Lumineers vibe, the way the song progresses allows it to have that sway that a lot of “folkish” songs like this have. I can defiantly picture driving alone at night after a long shift at work listening to this song, it is a good song to decompress too after a long day.

Overall, this track is really sweet and I really apprentice it for what it is, simple, yet complicated in its own way.
